BEIJING， Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- Chinese police arrested two men and a woman suspected of telecom fraud during the week-long National Day holiday period， the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) said Saturday.


Only one out of 10 major fugitives named on a top-level warrant which the MPS listed on Sept. 26 remains at large.


One of the three suspects， Yue Yongfu and his men are implicated in 89 fraud cases involving 6.2 million yuan (about 928，000 U.S. dollars)， in 25 provincial-level regions.


Four of Yue's associates were captured earlier， with Yue surrendering to police in central China's Henan Province on Sept. 30.


Chen Fujin is suspected of a bank card fraud in January worth 8.88 million yuan. Chen escaped to Macao on Sept. 29， three days after being listed as wanted， but was captured on Oct. 2 and taken back to China's southeastern Fujian Province the next day.


Chen Hong， together with others， is suspected of being involved in a fraud amounting to 4.47 million yuan. Eight of her companions have been arrested and sentenced. She surrendered to the police in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on Oct. 4.

"The United States is deeply concerned by the excessive use of force by government forces in the Sept. 22 clashes with the internally displaced persons at Kalma camp in South Darfur," said U.S. Embassy in Khartoum in a statement.


The U.S. calls on the government of Sudan to "immediately launch a thorough and transparent investigation of the incident," the statement said.


Sudanese security forces reportedly fired upon the IDPs during a protest Jim Kelly Hoodie , resulting in five deaths of both men and women and more than 26 injured, it added.


The U.S. further stressed the importance for the Sudanese government forces to respond to protests with restraint, even if provoked.

SOFIA, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- Bulgaria and Romania are to sign a memorandum to carry out a study on the construction of a new bridge over the Danube near Ruse, officials said here on Wednesday.
